Definition: An infraction in which an offensive player moves before the ball is snapped.

Examples: A false start results in a five-yard penalty against the offending team.

You can stop this by increasing your Vision and Confidence.

Definition: A foul in which a defender makes contact with a member of the offense before the snap.

Examples: Encroachment results in a five-yard penalty on the defending team.

You can stop this by increasing your Vision and Confidence.

Hard Count and Jump the Snap VAs increase the likelihood of encroachment penalties.

These penalties are seen most often in pee wee and lower level leagues.
